SUSTAINING MISSION

A very important part of the Badj business plan is to donate a percentage of the net profit made each year to help veterans in need. Each donation will be made in honor of a named soldier in recognition of their unselfish sacrifice. The main charities will be the Gary Sinise Foundation and the Semper Fi Fund, which help soldiers from all branches of service. We will also support Veteran-based charities located in the catastrophe areas worked.

 

It is imperative that the second part of our mission is realized and why being a “Unit of Branches” must be accomplished. With Badj, veterans can wear a new “Badj of Honor” as we build a Unit comprised of veterans who will work hand in hand to not only restore faith in the flood claims process, but to build up Badj Unit Members in the process – one event, one claim, one insured at a time.  Versus tearing down a fledgling member of the Unit, everyone invited to become a member of Badj will instead reach out and help veterans work through disappointments and rebuild self-confidence and knowledge. The Unit will diligently work to maintain a healthy family-oriented workforce, assuring all members are equally important.

 

Candidates will be pre‐screened to ensure they are the necessary fit to our mission and goals, and we readily acknowledge some candidates may have limited abilities, which will not be a deterrent. We will diligently look at ways to use our veterans, inclusive of pairing them together. Thus each member will benefit from the other and push their strengths to the forefront.  Taking into consideration stress levels, Badj will work with and assist our Veterans within their means to fully excel.

 

Unit members will receive assignments based upon their skills and abilities and will work directly in conjunction with mentors. Badj will start the mentoring process long before the storm arrives, which will ensure the mentee has a clear understanding of the claims processes, comprehension of policy/provisions and its application to a loss before being deployed in the field. It also gives ample time to learn an estimating system and how to use it efficiently.

 

Badj will offer to train/mentor candidates for the period required by the NFIP. Once the mentorship has been completed, the candidate/mentee will be eligible to become an independent authorized NFIP Flood Adjuster. Badj’s goal is to retain 90% of the mentees who successfully complete the program, as we realize this career may not be for all who try it.  On the upside, those who continue with Badj will then be able to mentor other veteran mentees; this will result in a bigger, stronger, more experienced Unit capable of assisting many more flood survivors.  And equally as important, we will have dedicated Unit Members who will ensure that no one, Unit Members or Policy Holders, gets left behind.
